I’m a doctoral student, writing a dissertation on a Greek poem from around three or four hundred CE in which Orpheus tells his student Mousaios about his voyage with Jason and the Argonauts.

This appeals to my general interests in Greek language and literature, linguistics, et al. and is an exciting topic for me. Partly, this is because hardly anyone in the English speaking world works on it, so I’ve gotten to write my own translation.

In addition to dissertating, my time is occupied with knitting, cooking, and pub quizzes.
